A dilapidation report details the condition of a building structures, road, footpath, bridge, drainage pipes etc. The reports are carried out on neighbouring areas prior to work commencing and then post inspections are carried out to confirm the condition post construction.
Many Councils, as part of a DA, require a dilapidation assessment to be carried out for protection of neighbouring properties, Council assets and infrastructure. A dilapidation report may also be referred to as a Condition Report as it references the current condition of the property.
